This is our first summer in our home. We purchased in the fall about 6 acres outside of town (on the edge of nowhere as my friends refer to it) and we are enjoying our first summer season getting more familiar with the lay of the land. My spousal unit is an amazing gardener and I have no doubt that in three years (one year to clean up, one year to plan, year three for "fruition"), this little piece of land will be unrecognizable. I think we are making quite a dent already. The work is not easy and I am subsidizing my efforts with ibuprofen.
On Friday we had the pleasure of shopping in a garden center, spending WAY too much money, but providing some instant yard gratification.
