Outside my window...

I am thankful for... A beautiful fall.
From the kitchen... unfortunately nothing lately. I need to bust out some ideas from pinterest and give them a try but I am so dang busy it isn't funny.
I am wearing... Shel's red sweatshirt.
I am creating...a plan for a bathroom renovation - I HOPE
I am reading... White Wolf by David Gemmell
I am hoping... that the trip to the city is a good one and we can arrange fotrsitters for everyone.

I am hearing... silence at the moment. The calm before the storm.
Around the house... I am catching mice and they are driving me insane.

Here is a picture I am sharing...

Max had a birthday this month and I picked up some balloons. The kids LOVE balloons, unfortunately these were the shortest surviving balloons we have ever had. This one was the last to burst and I think it lasted about six minutes? At least there is evidence that we DID have some fun.

Outside my window...

I am thankful for... warm sunny days that we can spend in the yard.
From the kitchen... we have been drinking lots of iced tea and lemonade on these hot days. Summertime is made for lemonade!
I am wearing... what a shocker - BIRKENSTOCKS! I need a new pair
I am creating...a menu for the month of September with my spousal unit tonight. I am looking forward to it.
I am reading... Why Men Lie by a Canadian author for a Canadian book challenge. I am not loving it and DRAGGING through it. It takes too long for me to read books I don't enjoy.
I am hoping... that camping this weekend is a success.

I am hearing... the sound of the mini fridge I just put back into my office for yet ANOTHER attempt to eat healthier at work and quit eating from the vending machines.
Around the house... we are getting used to granny being gone. It is quiet.

Outside my window... the sun is shining brightly and this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous!
I am thankful for... my boys. Tomorrow my baby turns FOUR!
From the kitchen... last night Shel and I had a salad. I think it has been a month since we last had a salad?! We needed it!!!!
I am wearing... my birkenstocks ! I STILL need to paint my toenails  - it was on my list last month!
I am creating...toy boxes for the boys.

I am hoping... to have an amazing birthday tomorrow for my humpback whale.

Around the house... we are sorting a lot. We have a LOT to go!!

outside my window - JUNE

Outside my window... it is overcast AGAIN and looks like this afternoon it will rain. I am ready for some sunny days.

I am thankful for... The time this last week I was able to spend with my mom. We had fun as we always do and we got a lot of things done on our list. I miss her already.


From the kitchen... While mom was here we made a lot of things. Chicken pasties for me to freeze so I can bring them for lunches at work, samosas, vinegar pudding, a dessert in the dutch oven. We cooked a LOT!
I am wearing... my birkenstocks ! I need to paint my toenails and get new birks as these ones are on their last legs, but I will wear them until I cannot wear them any longer. I LOVE summer and my birkenstocks!
I am creating...some thank-you gifts for school teachers, classroom aides and the bus driver. Max has two more days of school and then is off for the summer.

I am reading... The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen
I am hoping... to fix some broken windows in the barn.
I am hearing... Hedley - Kiss You Inside Out.
Around the house... my mom has come and gone and Shel's mom is here for the rest of the summer. The boys love the company and the house will be quiet come September!

outside my window - MAY edition

Outside my window... the trees are beginning to bud and it is time to BREAK OUT THE PRUNING SHEARS. I love me some pruning.


I am thankful for... my family. Iphone has connected my family in some really fun ways. I play drawsomething with my brother, sisters in law, niece and cousin. Yesterday my brother and his daughter and my sons were taking pictures of themselves making funny faces and texting them to one another. It makes the huge distances that seperate us seem not so overwhelming when we can connect in this way!


From the kitchen... I am going to try some pinterest recipes. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY. I'll let you know how they turn out.


I am wearing... my birkenstocks HALLELUJAH!!!!! I love summer and sandals.


I am creating...a mothers day gift for my mom and for Shel with ideas from PINTEREST (which I LOVE)


I am reading... Forerunner by Andre Norton.


I am hoping... to go camping with the boyos this summer at least ONCE.


I am hearing... the frogs in the dugout and the geese overhead as they migrate. Soon I will be hearing the plows in the fields which is NOT my favorite because of all the spray. GAG.


Around the house... it's time to clean out closets and pass on clothing and get rid of JUNK
