12 of 12 : April

Normally I do much better at this than I did this month and now I am having difficulty with my blog formatting which is frustrating. Oh well. Here are my twelve photos - only ten from today because apparently that was all I took today - and not in order of how the day progressed because that's how they are uploading today apparently.

#1. Here is my girl at the end of the day going through all of her clean clothes and wearing everything she could get her hands on. I used to wonder why we had so much laundry  - but I have to keep a close eye on this one who will put clothes into the laundry pile even if she wears them for two minutes - as evidenced by her actions this evening.

 #2. This is actually a photo from yesterday - Maxie man brought this home from school today. I don't know if he actually does school work but this made me happy anyway.

 #3. My Tibetan Prayer flags hanging outside my bedroom window. I need all the prayers I can get.

#4. It is warm enough to wear my birkenstocks today. I may be a little premature since it is only April, but I am being optimistic. There is even a little green grass starting to show.

#5. It's almost a daily visit to Sara's now that the sheep are lambing and some need to be bottle fed. I don't know if she is sick of us or not  yet but the kids want to go every day to see what is unfolding at the farm and help with chores.

#6. Here is another one not from today. This weekend we raked the yard with lots of help.

#7. Max is determined to have a garden this year so he got some of the seeds started. He wasn't waiting around for me to get to it!

#8. Feed the lambs. Check. Oil the bikes. Check. CJ got done everything on his list today!

#9. Obligatory photo of the  dog.

#10. You cant see in this photo but there is a calf in this pen ( by the name of Steve ) who was the intended recipient of this visit.

#11. Bottle babies. Dr. Pepper is just what the doctor ordered.

March 12 of 12

It is the 12 of the month again and so here are 12 photos which captured my day from almost beginning to end!
1. CJ loves animals and finds them at other peoples houses also!

2. Under the table is a safe place for toddlers to play when the number of people and feet in the house gets too high!

3. They love doing chores if it means they can drive the quad.

4. Friends arrive!!!

5. I get to hold sleeping babies :)

6. Getting pulled behind the quad.

8. Too much fun.

9. CJ found an old ARGO and has plans for it.

10. He made me a sign for my car - no swears.

12 of 12 : April

On the 12 of each month I try to take 12 photos throughout the day. For some reason today I didn't take twelve? I am not sure how that happened - but here are the ones I did take.

Max took some sidewalk chalk from Easter and drew some lovely pictures on the side of the house. A lovely greeting to visitors!

 

CJ found a mask. My superhero.

 

Momma Shel brought the kids hula hoops. CJ is a star! He can hula hoop like a wild thing and he loves it. He can even multi task and watch tv at the same time!

 

The baby has decided she likes the toddler bed.

Unfortunately, the one whom the bed was purchased for ( but has never slept in it one night in her life) has decided that now the baby likes it - she likes it also!

Since I didn't take 12 photos on the 12th, here is one from the bus yesterday. I am REALLY happy that the sun is up now and that the snow is gone, but the mornings are still really cold. Bring on summer!

 

October 12 of 12

Here we are. October 12 and I am at work supervising students as they graffiti the lounge.
All 12 of my photos are of the party. It feels like I have been here all day. Oh right I HAVE!!!!

12 of 12: January 2012

Today was a very sad day in our home as our two year old great dane had to be put down for medical issues. We are devestated to lose him and wish we had options that would guarantee his health and not leave him in potential prolonged pain without guarantee of success.
Hugo has been a significant part of our lives and a blessing in the life of our boys. We will miss him more than words can tell.

When I got home from work this morning at about 1 am Max and Hugo had been sleeping together. Shel took this and sent it to me.

 CJ does not want his photo taken (after we got home from the vet CJ bit me!) It has been a long time - over a year since he has bitten. Poor kid is having a tough time tonight.

 Looking out the window as the boys go with the neighbours. Max kissed him "lots and lots" before he left.

 Trying to take a photo with Shel. She asked if I wanted one and I said no, and thought I might regret it. I already do.

 Sign on the wall in the vet office. According to this Hugo was already in his 20's although he did not act like it!

 Sign on the wall as we entered the vet office. I thought it was a funny sign, but I was looking for reasons to be distracted. It worked for about 7 seconds.

 Picking up the boys on the way home. CJ ran away from us so we picked him up as we drove away.

 We heard something under the car so got out to check what it was, but couldnt find anything. (The car was turned off while we all lay on the ground)

 The only thing we managed to put together for dinner. Didn't feel like much of anything.

Empty Bed.

The house was really quiet last night.
I hate today.
